BIO

 Leslie Lissaint is a world traveler, international performance artist, actress, choreographer, dancer, writer, and a fitness professional. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she is an alumni of the First Wave Program -a spearheading program that recruits and awards young artists from across the U.S. with full-tuition scholarships as members of the First Wave Hip Hop Theatre Ensemble. She was also a team member on the UW-Madison College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI) winning team in 2010. Leslie has trained and taught ballet, tap, African, modern, hip hop, and contemporary dance. She has also trained as an actress at the prestigious Eugene O’Neil Theater Institute and the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. She has toured as a performer and choreographer in "Redbone: A Biomythography" written by Mahogany L. Browne.  As a youth educator, Leslie has worked as the choreographer for the Journal to Journey Program, presented by Urban Word NYC and Hi-ARTS/HHTF, a program that helps young poets write fully realized and produced plays. She is also a certified Personal Trainer and a certified Zumba instructor who currently teaches group fitness classes and private classes. Leslie Lissaint was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN and has called Brooklyn home for the past five years. Currently, she is performing and available for booking her first solo show entitled "This Is How We Heal." LESLIE LISSAINT RESUME
