Leslie Lissaint is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, coach, educator and personal trainer based in Los Angeles. For over twelve years, this Minneapolis native has used art therapy as a tool for healing, facilitating breakthroughs and an integral part of her coaching services.
Most recently Leslie was seen traveling the country performing her sold out one-woman show "This Is How We Heal," an autobiographical performance where she combines spoken word poetry, contemporary movement and music as a vehicle for storytelling, and healing from family trauma. Through out her travels she has led workshops and residencies using transformative justice as a framework to investigate prison industrial complex, police brutality, reproductive health rights as it pertains to black women and the lack of access for people of color battling addiction.
Leslie's artistic training started at the Children's Theater Company in Minneapolis, further continued at the prestigious Eugene O’Neil Theater Institute and also the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she honed her craft as an artist and activist.
